About the Author

Senta Wilson is one of the leading innovative leaders in school improvement, small business ownership, and nonprofit organizational development. In 2016, Mrs. Wilson and her husband founded a nonprofit organization, and in 2023, she started a small business. Mrs. Wilson serves as the Director of Instruction at a charter school. Before that, she was a principal, assistant principal, instructional coach, teacher, track coach, and drill team director in the charter and independent school district educational systems.

Mrs. Wilson has facilitated professional development sessions on bilingualism and second language acquisition, restorative discipline practices, equity in education, and campus-based professional development sessions. On a personal note, Mrs. Wilson is the mother of three sons, a puppy daughter, and the wife of a former elected official. The combined experiences of an elected official’s wife and principal prompted her insight into the parallel between local politics and principalship, which, therefore, birthed The Politics of Principalship.
